Chris Elam is the founding choreographer for Misnomer Dance Theater, a contemporary company that has toured the USA and abroad to great acclaim, with their 2006 work named one of the top ten dance performances of the year by the NY Times. In addition to artistic collaborations with Bjork, Apple Computers, Sundance Channel, Danish Dance Theatre, and others, Chris has developed innovative online models to help dance companies make better use of web technologies. Chris blends his background in dance with his training in public policy and computer science from Brown University. Elam speaks and performs at a wide-range of conferences, in 2008 including Fortune Magazine, Technology in the Arts and Pop!Tech. He is on the advisory board of Fractured Atlas and is also a world traveler, interested in cultural anthropology and behavior studies.
